The same file as your feed URL
A pushed file is built by exactly the same engine as a pulled one: your columns, filters, custom fields, pricing policy and photos, in CSV, TSV, JSON or XML. The channel gets what you previewed, and a feed can be pulled by one channel and pushed to another at the same time.
Uploads that can’t leave a channel with a broken file
Files go up under a temporary name and are renamed into place once complete, so a channel that collects mid-upload never gets half an inventory. If your export, pricing or photos can’t be read, nothing is uploaded and the channel keeps yesterday’s good file. Paused and draft feeds are never pushed.
- Folder and file name you choose, with the date or rooftop in the name if the channel wants it
- Test connection checks the login and folder before the first upload
- Errors in plain words: wrong password, missing folder, port refused
- Failed uploads are flagged on the feed and retried automatically
Credentials handled carefully
FTP and SFTP passwords and SSH keys are encrypted before they’re stored and are never shown again, even to admins. MiFeed remembers each SFTP server’s identity on the first upload and refuses to send your inventory to a server that suddenly presents a different one. FTPS certificates are verified too.
