Templates that read like a person wrote them
A template is plain text with placeholders in curly braces: {year} {make} {model} {trim}. Any column from your inventory file works, along with your published price and photo count. Filters format values as you insert them, so prices, mileage and feature lists always read cleanly.
- {mileage|number} prints 36,120 rather than 36120
- {pricing_price|money} prints the price your pricing rules publish
- {options|list3} lists the first three features
- {make|title} turns CHEVROLET into Chevrolet
Missing data never leaves a hole
Put any part of a sentence in square brackets and it disappears when a value inside it is blank. “[ with only {mileage|number} miles]” vanishes for a vehicle without a mileage, so no listing ever reads “with only miles”. A length cap trims long descriptions at the end of a sentence where it can.
Replace DMS comments, or only fill the gaps
Keep the descriptions your team has written and generate text only for vehicles that have none, or replace every description with a consistent one. Either way, the description every feed publishes is the same, and you can see which vehicles used generated text.
- Fill blanks or always replace
- Separate templates for new and used vehicles
- Live preview against your own inventory as you edit
- description_text, description_source and description_length fields for every feed
The description fields every feed can use
| Field | What it holds |
|---|---|
| description_text | The description the feed publishes, from the DMS or generated, per your fill mode |
| description_generated | The generated text, whatever the fill mode chose |
| description_source | source, generated or none |
| description_length | Characters in the published description |
