Many DMS and inventory tools drop their export on an FTP server rather than publishing a URL. Each inventory file can now be a web address or an FTP, FTPS or SFTP login and path. A wildcard in the file name picks up the newest date-stamped export automatically.
Files can be comma, tab, pipe or semicolon-delimited; the delimiter is detected from the header row. When inventory is split across files — vehicles in one, prices or photos in another — choose to merge them by VIN instead of adding them together, and keep every VIN or only those in the main file.
